Putting the prego lady to work!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! There was some progress made at the house over the holiday weekend as were there some unexpected bumps in the road. More of the framing process was completed and the concrete was poured for the foundation of the addition and garage. Luke worked all weekend to take down an existing stone wall in the basement to open up the room. When he was removing the stone  the water main broke and water was spraying everywhere. Luke had to run to Home Depot to get a part to fix it so needless to say we had some water in the basement. I came over in my rain boots to bring him some dry clothes and helped him get things cleaned up. Things don't always go smoothly when you are doing a renovation!  Here are some pics that I took over the weekend to record the progress and the little mess!

Here is my inspiration for some built ins and a window seat for the nursery. We just need to get a roof on it first!

The house went topless today!

The crew removed the roof section by section with a crane to prepare for the framing process of the renovation. The pictures really tell it all! Tomorrow the concrete slab for the basement will get poured and the framing starts. Hopefully we don't get too much rain over the next couple weeks!

Hello again! This past week has been pretty busy as Luke and I got acclimated to our new living arrangement at my parents house. Luke has been busy managing the process at the new house as the crew finished the removal of the stone, poured concrete for the footers and the foundation went in.

It's been great living with my mom because I have finally been able to focus on on picking out the baby's bedding and the nursery decor. It's hard to believe that I just completed my 26th week of pregnancy! Below is the latest picture of my bump and some of my nursery inspirations. I am loving the baby whale theme. :)

I will update the house pictures tomorrow as they will be taking the roof off of the house and starting the framing process!

This past Saturday was definitely a bitter sweet day for Luke and I! We moved out of the house we have lived in the last three years that was another home renovation project that Luke completed. We had purchased a very rundown two bedroom house that Luke was able to turn into an adorable 3 bedroom stone bungalow with a lot of high end personal touches.  This was the house we were living in when we were married, when I found out we were expecting and where we shared a lot of good times and memories so it was tough saying good bye. Here is a before and after pictures to give an idea of the work he has done.

Pretty amazing transformation huh? All of his hard work definitely paid off with this house. This is why I am so excited about starting this all over again with our next house.

Speaking of the new house! The clean up of the trees and yard has been completed as well as the demolition of the inside and the addition on the house. The crew has also started to take down the stone on the outside. Its nice to finally be able to see the front of the house! I had to add a picture of Luke in action as well. :)

The plan for the week is to complete the stone removal and lay the footers of the foundation for the new addition. I hope you enjoy seeing the progress!
